FinTrU is looking for a talented Junior Project Manager to join our client delivery team within our Belfast or North West Office.
You will have the opportunity to work directly with a global Tier 1 Investment Bank and liaise with their senior stakeholders to bring solutions to a wide range of objectives including regulatory change, risk remediation and IT system delivery.
Role Responsibilities

Support Project Manager with:
  • Coordination, management and control of multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Liaising with a wide range of global stakeholders within the client and FinTrU, along with external third parties.
  • Creating and managing of suitably detailed project plans.
  • Helping project team to fully understand project scope and deliverables.
  • Working with various client teams to agree and plan project delivery, prioritise appropriately, as well as track progress against planned roadmap.
  • Supporting handover to BAU via coordination of post implementation checks, training, and updated user guides.
  • Creating client-ready reports and give oral and written updates to project teams on developments.
  • Supporting project teams by flagging scope variance and key risks/issues and work creatively with senior team on mitigation across projects.

Required Experience, Skills and Attributes
Experience - The candidate should have the following experience or qualifications: 
  • Essential - Minimum of two years’ experience working within Financial Services, working within a managed services or project delivery environment.
  • Essential - Previous experience setting up or working within a Project or similar.
  • Advantage – Experience in delivery of Regulatory deadline projects, Risk remediation plans, System delivery roadmaps or operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Advantage - A formal project management qualification such as PMP or Prince2
  • Advantage - Experience with other process optimisation methods such as Lean Six Sigma, CMMI etc.
  • Advantage – Power BI dashboard creation experience.

Skills - The candidate should have the following skills: 
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suit skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, SharePoint etc.) with the ability to produce professional artefacts such as templates, models (Excel) and presentations etc.
  • Highly organised, with ability to manage and coordinate various governance forums etc. across diverse stakeholders.
  • Confident communicator, able to sell ideas and influence to ensure adoption of new methods. Comfortable with public speaking and presenting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment, with a willingness to work flexibly to achieve project objectives.
  • Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction.
