FinTrU is looking for a Financial Crime Compliance Specialist (Associate or Senior Associate) to join one of their rapidly growing teams.  The successful candidate will work within a team supporting a global Tier 1 Investment Bank across the full onboarding process.

Following FinTrU’s inclusion in the ‘Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100’ and as we move past a significant milestone of 700 staff in Northern Ireland, FinTrU is looking for a Financial Crime Compliance Specialist (Associate or Senior Associate) to join one of their rapidly growing teams.  The successful candidate will work within a team supporting a global Tier 1 Investment Bank across the full onboarding process.

All FinTrU offices remain closed but, thanks to FinTrU's technology infrastructure, you will be able to join and work remotely for as long as needed.  We’ll provide you with all the hardware that you need to succeed!

Role Responsibilities
  • Conduct enhanced due diligence on the onboarding of higher risk clients using various internal and external systems
  • Analyse and assess cases from a financial crime risk perspective to ensure that all relevant regulation has been complied with, all risk factors have been considered and accepted as part of the client review
  • Conduct and analyse enhanced transactional monitoring as part of new client onboarding checks and periodic reviews
  • Manage relationships with key internal stakeholders, including but not limited to; Sales, Credit, Legal and KYC
  • Training and development of junior team members
  • Deliver a flexible “Maker/ Checker” function for all in-flight client requests
  • Provide detailed MI and reports to clients at agreed frequencies
  • Manage policy escalations in a timely fashion, working closely with client stakeholders suggest efficiencies
  • Identify key project risks, whether stated or not, and manage accordingly
  • Build and maintain a strong client relationships
  • Support the wider FinTrU management team to maintain and exceed set project deadlines

Essential Experience
  • A minimum of three years of Compliance, Financial Crime or Enhanced Due Diligence experience
  • Preferably a minimum of two years’ experience within an Investment Bank
  • Demonstrable experience of Global AML requirements is desirable
  • Strong commercial awareness within a professional services or outsourced environment desirable
  • Knowledgeable and capable of analysing the execution of various compliance and control tests
  • Experience in Compliance, Risk & Regulatory Reform
  • Experience of project delivery within the financial services sector
  • Experience of delivering quality assurance checks or audit work experience would be desirable
