As part of our Product Design team you will lead our user research efforts, implementing best practice and helping design solutions for a suite of FinTech applications, all in a fast-paced and fun environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced UX Researcher to play a part in one of Belfast's fastest growing technology teams.  As part of our Product Design team, you will lead our user research efforts, implementing best practice and helping design solutions for a suite of FinTech applications, all in a fast-paced and fun environment.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement user research strategies and methodologies
  • Discover patterns and insights through focus groups, interviews, surveys, field studies, card sorting, journey mapping, testing and more
  • Produce research and definition documentation including research insights, customer journey maps and user personas
  • Present design research findings to the larger team in a clear and organised fashion
  • Translate user insights into actionable recommendations for the product team
  • Help build out design processes, tools, and culture
  • Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends
  • Mentor and coach junior UX Researchers in the team

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Proven experience facilitating user research from discovery and problem definition to prototype testing and analysing user behavioural analytics.
  • Strong portfolio of user research projects
  • Understand research best practice from writing surveys to running usability tests
  • Passion for quality and an appreciation of interaction and visual design principles
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and plan workload to meet deadlines
  • Problem-solving and analytical mindset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Degree in Interaction Design or a related qualification
  • Experience leading / mentoring a team is a plus
