FinTrU is looking for an individual to lead and provide high quality operational and technical application and systems support to both FinTrU internal business functions and external stakeholders.
They will be the owner of the Incident and Problem Management process.  They will be responsible for ensuring goals are achieved and minimising the adverse impact of incidents and problems on the business and preventing reoccurrence of incidents.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead the Application Support Function in working as part of part of a cross-functional Agile team consisting of engineers, QA, data engineers and product owners to ensure excellent maintenance of our many bespoke and vendor applications
  • Manage and own the incident and problem management process
  • Contribute to the planning of application releases and configuration changes
  • Troubleshoot functional and performance problems in both development and production environments and, where necessary, assist input on improved design, implementation and process
  • Ensure there are robust procedures and processes within the application support functions
  • Ensure project deliverables (software and documentation) meet the industry, regulatory and company standards
  • Maintain good working relationships with internal departments as well as 3rd party vendors and hosting providers
  • Design appropriate metrics for reporting on key performance

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • A minimum of six years’ experience in a hands-on application support lead/manager role
  • Strong experience supporting Enterprise level software on the Microsoft Stack
  • Strong experience supporting cloud-native applications, preferably using Microsoft Azure, and on premise hosted applications
  • Demonstrable experience in Problem and Incident Management
  • Demonstrable experience supporting web applications, Rest APIs and services
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL, preferably MS SQL server
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with various engineering teams, senior colleagues and management
  • Salesforce experience is desirable
  • ITIL experience and/or qualifications is desirable
  • Scripting experience ( e.g. Powershell, Bash etc.) is also desirable
