We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Senior Associate or Vice President to join the 'Best Company to Work For' (Belfast Business Awards 2018 & 2019). The successful candidate will perform a senior role in one of our Business As Usual negotiation teams, which support a range of trading desks for our global Tier 1 Investment Banking clients.

Role Responsibilities
  • Drafting and negotiating legal and trading documentation, primarily ISDA & CSA
  • Contributing to the supervision and oversight of junior negotiators
  • Acting as a point of escalation within the team and assisting with training as appropriate
  • Liaising with the trading desks, credit & risk management teams, as well as internal and external counsel
  • Conducting legal capacity and authority reviews as well as netting & collateral due diligence checks
  • Ensuring regulatory adherence as necessary (e.g. MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, EMIR)
  • Building and maintaining client and counterparty relationships and ensuring timely execution of all trading documentation
  • Participating in ad-hoc projects to promote document integrity, internal policy and regulatory compliance
 
Required Experience and Skills
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in law
  • Minimum of four years’ ISDA experience (additional IM CSA, GMRA, GMSLA, EFET, Clearing or PB experience is desirable)
  • Exposure to Banking and Financial Services Regulation, preferably in a remediation context.
  • Experience of managing/supervising others is desirable
  • Language skills (preferably Spanish, German, Italian or Portuguese) are desirable
